on one of my fish there are tiny white dots. seems like small bubbles (white) which are stuck onto it. unfortunately i cannot see if my other fish are affected because the rest are pale in colour and hence i cannot see the white dots.

is it a disease? how can i cure that?

Well, are your fish rubbing against the plants, decor or gravel? What are your water parameters? How big is the tank and what sort of fish do you have in the tank?

If it looks like your fish has been sprinkled with salt and rubbing up against everything in the tank, it could be Ich.

What other syptoms are they having?

If it looks like salt or sugar attached to the fish it would be ich and we have a nice artical about treating it..
