fish temporarily losing colour (spots).

hello.

what could cause fish to temporarily lose colour?

i fimd that my rosy barbs and my gourami have lost their spots and have turned paler just a few hours ago.

what could cause that?

long ago i had pencil fish and that also happened to them temporarily.

note: i just added corals to the water. i boiled them first.
also the fish are normal except their colour.

Loss of color can be from stress, mating, poor water quality, or lack of light.

My blue gourami lost her color, too. I think it's because she's constantly bullied by my other female gourami. I need to get my larger tank going so they have some room.

i'm not sure why exactly they are turning colors, like fishy said, stress, mating, etc. etc. are probably the only things i can think of

ok. np now. they regained their colours this morning.

conclusion: maybe when i just added the corals they got temporarily stressed. now theyve got used to it.

how do you add corals to freshwater aquarium? Or are they dead corals? sry.. LOL, just a bit confused
