I am happy to say we have a thriving little aquarium with no losses other than one fish that didn't make it a day after we first bought the group 10 months ago.

We got one of each color and it was the green one that didn't make it. Now it's Clover II that has an issue. She has always been the smallest, with beautiful, long frilly fins. Today I noticed they are looking quite ragged, and there is a small black line in her fin too.

They are co-homing with 3 mystery snails, half a dozen ghost shrimp and two African dwarf frogs. I thought it's possible she could be getting nipped, or otherwise it's fin rot? The rest of the rainbow gang has perfectly formed fins themselves.

I'll appreciate the experts' opinions. Thank you!

Finrot happens over a period a period of time, fins look ragged, messy and generally deteriorated.

Nipped or torn fins are usually cleaner looking, tear like injuries and happen much quicker.
