Look at the pics and see for yourself. You can see how he looks fat and his scales pincone out. I looked and saw him looking unhappy at the bottom of the tank this morning so I decided to take him out and put him in a qt mixing bowl... I hope my others don't get sick! Is there any way to prevent it in there other fish? Is there any way to help it or cure it or whatever? Thanks, Maxwellag

Aquarium salt and melafix might help, but I'm afraid dropsy is almost always fatal. :(

look at the sticky above "disease diagnostic ......"
personally never dealt with dropsy, but it sounds like it... pics too blury for me to tell....

remember you'll need to get some oxygen in that bowl asap, or fish will suffocate...

I know I need to get oxygen. Could I just add rainsoft salt?

Thanks. George was a funny little guy. :) he liked to swim in circles. Right now I'm worried that he got dropsy or whatever it was that he had from some germs or something in the water because I had a dwarf gourami with the same thing.
