Platy Poop...

Last night I noticed one of the two Platy's had a strand of poop (I believe it was poop) hanging out from under his belly. It was probably an inch or so in length, and about the size of the ball in a ball point pen in diameter. I let him go all night, came back in this morning and it was laying in the rocks. He isn't acting odd at all, very fishy like indeed. He's eating like normal.. I'm just concerned for him.

We had just gotten him from Aquarium shop on Saturday. I don't have an extra tank to separate him at the moment if something is wrong..

Any ideas/suggestions?

As long as it's not white and stringy then I would not be to concerned, what comes out should be the same color as what goes in.
