Serpae tetras with white lips

My Serpae tetras have the early stages of what looks like white lips. There is no fuzz, just discolouration.
Does anyone know what this is and what medication would be effective.
I can't get a picture.

Sorry, missed this - how are they getting on? I looked at mine and nothing like that, even on the ones that are a bit hen-pecked (thankfully settled down).
 
It's been a while since my first post. The serpaes have not altered at all and I think it might just be the coloration of that particular strain. They are healthy, active and feeding so they are probably normal.
