I have a female guppy I noticed today always staying at the top of the tank looking like she's gasping for air she just looks sick if you know what I mean. She's not eating I checked my levels my nitrite is 5, ph is 8, and ammonia is 0. I'm gonna do a water change soon will that be enough tho?

Is she pregnant? Those might be signs she is going to give birth soon.
Otherwise, it's likely stress caused by the water quality. Nitrites should always be at 0 in a cycled tank. I'd do a water change right away and check the levels again.

She is not pregnant no and I've always had high nitrite levels in my tank. How do I fix this? None of my other fish are showing signs
