white fins and faded colors?

I just added six more cardinals to my school, and four of them seem fine but two have white spots on their caudal and anal fins and are significantly lighter in color than the others...any ideas what it is and how to treat it without destroying my nitrogen cycle (I don't currently have a hospital tank).

Does it look like grains of salt? If so it's most likely Ich. You can treat it with the heat method, or heat and salt. Here's an article that will help: Freshwater Ich? Yuck!

not really, it's in large-ish patches and looks kinda fuzzy.

could it be velvet or fin rot?????
