Can anyone Identify this coral/ anemone.
I first noticed it on a coral garden I purchased then found it on a coral branch and now it has moved to a rock.
Looks like a polyp when closed up.

Could be Aptasia (pest anemone), but it looks to colorful. Could be a Carribean Rock Anemone?

It looks like a Majano anemone to me. A pest like Aptasia.

Why is it a pest and should I remove it. It seems to have just settled peacefully on a rock.

It's a pest because it will spread all over the place very quickly and your tank will eventually be overrun. They also sting corals they touch- not conducive to a successful reef tank. Yes, I would kill it with a chemical. kalkwasser paste, joes juice, aptasia-x or similar.

Thanks for that. I will remove it.
