The white things are q-tip sponges. The coral in question I doesn't look like zoo's. It looks like a porites coral.

yup looks like that a q-tip sponge, any ideas as to where or what links i could look up the care for these and lighting requirments? i do not think that other picture is a porites coral i looked them up and they look real different

Green Star Polyp

I posted a very similar picture a couple days ago, and got the same response...either porites or GSP. Mine has grown a little bit and looks just like yours now. I'm guessing GSP as well.

well i looked at those pictures to, and looks nothing like them....but maybe thats a premature stage or something heck i dont know thats why i am asking the eggsperts 8)
