I'm trying to find out what is this purple thing in the coral. It looks like a sponge but cant find it anywhere.

Can you get a picture without so much glare? (Maybe cover up the window with a towel or sheet.) I'm not at all sure what purple thing you're asking about at all.

I'm gonna go with colonial tunicates. Are they soft?

Yes it is. It started real small and is huge now.
