Unknown Starfish

Hello everyone! I was just looking at my tank and I have a starfish that I've never seen before, it looks like a brittle star but I'm not sure. It is red and white striped (very bright red) I went to get my camera but it has gone into an area that I can't get a pic of it. It's not very large I would say maybe 1.5" from arm tip to arm tip. Any ideas? Just a brittle star that is red and white?

No...it really looked like a candy cane...and wasn't "spiney" like a brittle star...I can see it well 3 of its arms anyway right now...the problem is I dont' have a camera with a good enough Macro lens to get a pic of it that you could actually see.

I think it is a little serpent star...but im not sure...maybe it will come out and I can catch it and get a pic of it...it seems to stay in one spot....

Sounds like a serpent star, though I've never seen a bright red and white one before, so cool!

Mine is black and grey striped. hehe

If it would ever come out enough to get a pic of it I will. I agree I think it is a serpent star.
