What is this next to my green leather coral? A baby coral?

Ok this weird strand is growing next to my leather coral. Looks like it's a similar color to the coral. Is it a baby?? Look at the pic-- right next to the coral--left side

Was hoping to see answers to the question of what was growing next to coral. I get those a lot and I don't like them in my tank.
