Aquarium Advice Apprentice
Along with the small 'white dot' copepods and 'C' shaped amphipods, I have what seems like MILLIONS (ok.. slight exageration) of these little guys all over my glass, rock and sandbed.
They are about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch long, have antennae and legs that splay out in all directions. They leave little white eggsacks all over the glass.
The photo shows roughly a 2X2 inch area of glass. The density shown in the photo is about average for the rest of the tank.
The tank is an Oceanic 37 gallon cube and has been cycled for about 2 months. There are no fish, about 40 pounds of 'dead rock' that I am trying to seed with 1 piece of live rock, and a two inch sandbed that started off as dry, dead sand. All invert life in the tank has been seeded off this one rock, including these little guys.
