Ok so currently it only houses my betta but i'll likely add 4 or 5 ghost shrimp in the very near future. If you really look closely you'll notice in the second picture that my plant on the left moved a little bit and the water was a bit cloudy. Turns out my betta didn't like being photographed and decided to uproot my plant haha

Hello,

Your tank looks great!
What type of light are you using?
The shrimp might not be food if you have enough hiding spots

Thanks! Crypto i think its just the regular 6-10W bulb that came with the tank.

This is the best shot i could of got. He's a pretty active little bugger.

Thanks guys! Might add some shrimp this week. If I do I'll update with pics.

How long did it take for your 5 gallon to cycle and how did you do it? I'm getting a 5 gallon I just bought off line that should be here this week so I can add a Betta to my fish family :)

Nice fish, my little brother has one similar. But his tank is not nearly as good looking as yours. Yours looks awesome!

Thanks!

Michelle: My tank took about 3 weeks to cycle. I did a fish-in cycle though and i didn't like it. Last one i ever did. Smaller tanks IMO take less time to cycle so as long as you have an ammonia source you should be good to go in 3-4 weeks.

I've got cherry shrimp (had ghost before) and my betta doesn't mess with them at all, and there 1/3 as big as ghost lol. It seems u have the proper hiding spaces for shrimp..id get crystals or cherries...

There sketchy. I have a 10 gal betta with a vampire, so far just 3 cherrys, an amano, and hopefully a ninja shrimp opr 2 (my most fav. Species so far!!)

I just got a nerite snail today. All i'm missing is the shrimp. Might get them this weekend.
