Oh wow, i didn't realize that it has been months since I have updated this tank. I know it has been aweful for the past months and I have been building this tank up again. So far, I am sure that the parameters went to normal after the weather and the diseases. The last update I have was that I only have 3 zebra danios left. After that post, I lost 2 more of the danios. But since January, I have added 5 gold long finned danios and 4 flame tetras. So far the 10 of them are getting along fine since then. The plants are still shabby looking but I am getting there. I am planning of rescaping the whole thing. I am just afraid that it will affect the parameters again. But one thing at a time. I will never know what comes.

Here are some boring pictures:

My friend, all your tanks are really nice, but this one with the black substrate is my favorite... Keep it up

really? oh thank you ed. i always thought this one seems like the ugliest. i am glad it is not that ugly as i thought it was. :) In person though, it is coming along. Once I will start the DIY CO2, I am hoping that the plants will take off.

Thanks fort. I believe it will. I am just trying to wrap up my head over to how I will diffuse the DIY CO2 because I want to use any existing things I have in the house, like the airstone that is in this tank right now (the one that is placed vertically in the middle of the wall in the back). I also was told that you can put it in the back of the filter and have the filter act as the diffuser. So, more research is needed, I know. :)

But thanks for the encouragement.

Just an update of what plants I have in here. Updated pictures will follow after.

Aponogeton Echinatus
Rotala Indica
Contortion Vals
Water Sprite (Ceratopteris Cornuta)
Amazon Sword ( Echinodorus amazonicus)
Crypts Wendtii 'Red'
Crypts Lucens
Crypts Lutea
Anubias Barteri var. Nana 'Petite'
Crypts Spiralis
Java Moss
Anacharis

Removed the dwarf water lettuce and transferred it to my other 10G.

Nice... Waiting for the pictures

Yes, you can still see the form of the decorative rocks or stones, whichever you called it, but the surface of the rocks are covered with the java moss now. I tied them with thread around the rocks.

I have been dosing CO2 liquid booster for now. So far, the plants are not showing too much of a change. Although I can see some slow growth. I haven't setup my DIY CO2 yet coz I am waiting for my 2 lb brewers yeast that I ordered in eBay for a great deal.

Pictures taken last May 1, 2012. Yesterday I had transferred my opaline gourami here from the tank that is in my son's bedroom because I had ordered juvie guppies. And my "Sammy" was having fun chasing the little frys. So I transferred him here. So far everything is doing good. The pictures here doesn't have him in it yet. So, here goes:

Okay, minus the opaline (Sammy), which is temporarily in my 5G to heal coz I tried him with the female blue gourami in my 20G but she terrorized him bad and he lost part of his tail - so he is alone right now in there, but the rest of the fish are still here.

Created a moss wall in both sides. I like the look of it. Will have pictures soon.

well now...i finally got my lazy bones to come and take som pictures of the moss wall I made. it actually turned out so nice. so different from the last pictures up there....enjoy!
