Hey all,
Just finished fishless cycling my new 20Long, so I decided I'd hop on down to my LFS and pick up some fish I've been eying.
I'm going for an Indian/Indonesian biotope with a creek cross section look: a mix of eco-complete and play sand on the sides and more play sand in the middle. I'd like to plant the sides a bit more, maybe throw some rotala indica in each, but I do like the open forest-y effect of the crypts. Let me know what you think!
Substrate: Eco-Complete/Play sand
Filter: Aqueon Quietflow 10 (sufficient for now, may upgrade later)
Light: Working on a hood/stand for a T5 shoplight I picked up at Home Depot. For now, just a CFL.
Tank: 20Long 30x12x12
Fauna: A pair of Badis Badis (for now)
Flora: Hairgrass, C. parva, C. Wendtii, and one Tiger Lotus
Anywho, here are some pics:
Full Shot
Left Side
Right Side
Male Badis. Check out those fins!
Female Badis. Can anyone tell if she's gravid? Sure looks like it.
Both of them.
I was thinking of putting a group of threadfin, furcata, and/or celebes rainbows in the tank, hopefully they'd occupy the center of the tank. Anyone have advice on them?
