What size tank do you have and what type light and bulbs are you using? The type of lighting you have will determine what type plants will grow in your tank.

Are they the Led lights that came with the tank? If so they will only give you low light which means your limited to Anubia's, Java Fern's, Bolbitus, and Crypts for the most part. The Anubia, Java Fern, and Bolbitus can probably do without ferts but the Crypts will need to have root tabs put by them in the substrate. Root tabs are just fertilizers put in a tablet form made to be placed in the substrate for plants that absorb nutrients mostly via their roots.
