My java ferns are developing black/brown spots that eventually turn into holes.
Someone told me it was black algae and I should immediately pull it out and toss it. But in researching it - it doesnt seem like algae, it doesn't rub off. I just figured it was some kind of nutrient problem and I also just got brighter lights.
Please tell me they are ok and I just need to put them in a shadowy part of the tank!
