Lighting Help?

Hi All,
am in the process of setting up my first planted tank, a 36 gallon. I have a 55 watt 24 inch compact fluorescent. Will this be enough light to grow a range of plants?

Do you have an idea of what types of plant you want? Do you have a co2 setup?

Looking to go basic. This is my first planted tank. I plan on starting up w/o co2. I may look into the diy yeast co2 a a possible addition if needed. I am thinking amazon sword, micro sword, some type of anubias, moneywort and some other beginner type plants. I am using eco-complete/sand blend for the substrate and H.O.B. bio wheel filter. I am trying to keep it cheep but beautiful.

Any help/advise is greatly appreciated.Thanks!
