pea gravel

Have anyone use pea as a plant gravel? If so how does it compare to Eco-complete?
I'm re-doing my 55 taken all the normal gravel out n add some live sword.

I had pea gravel in a tank for a little while. First chance I got, I replaced it with PFS. Gravel, IMO, traps way too much gunk.

Do it improve plant grow ? If so what's the result?

To be honest, I dont really think it would. I could see how it could improve root growth, but not sure about overall plant growth. It's definitely easier to clean, IMO.
