OK I tried searching this but didn't find anything. But I know were some lillys are and some wild water plants. Was thinking about using them in my aquarium. Can this work? Experiences?

I looked it up last week. I picked a few from my grandparents lake and I'm going to try them out.
The main thing is sterilizing them. Have to get all the possible bad bacteria off. I read that mixing some bleach with water and basically rub it down. I read something about hydrogen peroxide as well.
I'd also qt them in a tank for a week or so.
They will definitely grow...just might not be fully potential due to the change in lighting (no direct light all day).

I have a bucket full of plants that I'm going to clean and qt tomorrow. I'm hoping it works

I just trimmed most of the stems/leaves off and soaked them in diluted bleach water for about a minute each and then put them in freshwater to soak. I'll do it a few times. I'll let you know how it turns out.
