I set up my first CO2 about two weeks ago. I think I'm ready for a new batch. What I was wondering is how to start a second bottle? Is it OK to start the yeast fermenting in a new bottle and leave the cap loosley on the bottle ( so that it doesn't blow up)? And then once the fermentation starts swap out for the cap with the airline in it and put it on the tank?

A lot of people make their new batch a day or two ahead of time, so what you described will work just fine.
