Fungi,it should disappear within a couple weeks on its on,harmless to your fish&plants(some fish will eat it)...when you a pwc aggitate it&you can remove some of the fungi..

Yep I used to hate that stuff. My bristlenose pleco seemed to take care of it on the driftwood. She loves munching on it!

Very cool I'm not bothered to much by since my lights are off for most the part except when poking the substrate/ testing/ PWC etc so out of site out mind lol interesting watching and learning things
