i got a cryptnuri panang? what is it? how do i plant it?

It's a species of Cryptocoryne. Heavy root feeder, lower light tolerant. Prone to melting while it adjusts to new conditions. Plant it in the substrate. Not too deep though.

Yes. Most of the time it should. You need to provide nourishment for the roots.
