Patriot

I have crossed to the realm of More Than One Betta, and am never going back! My newest fish is a male crowntail Betta. He is blue and purple with red fins, so his name is Patriot because of the red and blue. He is going into a temporary one gallon until I get a divider for my ten gallon. As I said, it's TEMPORARY and will only last for today. I saw him and fell in love with the pretty Walmart fish. I figured even a one gallon temporarily would be better than the tiny cup. I look forward to having Patriot for many years to come.

Thanks. I feel bad for him being in the one gallon, but it's better to have that for a day than die in Walmart.

Was it a Betta sorority? Did they die of old age, or disease, or another reason?

I'm sorry about the ones that passed because of mishaps or illness.

He's the first bicolor Betta I've had. Or more like tricolor. I'm not sure if he has purple and blue, or just two shades of blue.

I've never heard that term. I'll have to look it up.

Bettakeeping got me hooked as well, and now I've got three aquariums going, plus this temporary bowl. One has my other Betta, Allie, one is a community tank I'm still working on, and the other is a tank with an ACF and a large apple snail.

Normally you wouldn't at mine either, but this time they had some very pretty and interesting bettas. I was surprised.

Thanks to everyone who's said he's purty! I'm very fond of my new little guy.

I pit my finger in to see if he'd cone up to it, and eventually he did. Then he proceeded to BITE me, and boy did he have some hidden FANGS!! Maybe I should have named his Damon Salvatore, because of his fangs!!
