In other posts I often see people list what livestock they currently have in their tanks. I'd be interested in seeing a thread that shows what people have along with any comments on what they think of each creature. (This should help novices like myself start to understand what tends to work and what doesn't)

I'll start -

45 gal tank
1 blue damsel (most mellow of the group)
1 perc. clown (like the way he swims, kids favorite)
1 yellow tail damsel (most agressive, but not nasty)
1 brittle starfish (adds a lot of character to tank, eventhough he only pops out occasionally)
1 feather duster (new to tank, worried hermits might try to eat???)
assort. snails (do the job they were meant to do)
assort. red leg hermits (fun to watch)
assort. blue leg hermits (ditto)

Going to add more fish soon and eventually some corals - hopefully this thread will give me some ideas...

This will be good and I also would ask for those who have not to visit your profile and put this info in the Describe your tank field. This way when someone wants to help you we can look at yoru profile and see what you have if you forget to include that info.

20g reef
1-Bangaii Cardinal
1-Blood Shrimp
1-Peppermint Shrimp
1-Brittle Star
2-Emerald Crabs
A bunch of snails (astrea, cerith, nassarius)
A bunch of hermits (scarlet, blue legs)
Several feather dusters

20g coral tank (top)
3-Green Chromis
1-Sailfin Blenny
1-Emerald Crab
Snails and hermits

20g coral tank (bottom)
1-Blue Damsel
1-Emerald Crab
Snails and hermits

29g FO
1 Green Spotted Puffer

I know that's not exactly an exotic mix, but they're entertaining and, except for the puffer, easy to keep.

2 False Percula Clowns
1 Green Clown Goby
1 Bar Goby
1 Blue Manderin

What a good idea!
165 G (pretty new) - these are only animals I've added - we have several others that hitched a ride on the LR
5 green chromis (the "leader of the pack" picks on the rest of the fishes)
1 ocellaris clown (My first and favorite SW fish - adds a lot character to the tank - always swims to the front to greet owners and loves flashlights)
1 yellowtail blue damsel (he's not aggressive, yet - often gets picked on by the clown and chromis leader)
1 lawnmower blenny (so ugly - he's cute - does a great job on algae, but still needs to learn to eat nori)
4 peppermint shrimps (no more glass anemones! They usually hang out behind the rocks - but sometimes they come out and "sway")
1 cleaner shrimp (she's still a baby and seems scared of the fish)
1 brittle star (generally just see a leg or two sticking out of the rock)
?? red leg hermits (they keep getting killed by the hitchhiker crabs  )
2 blue leg hermits
assorted snails

Greetings.

I have a 10gal. nano(5 months old) and has the following:

Several Turbo snails.

29g reef

2 tank raised percula clowns (they are fun to watch and they seem to like to host our giant cup mushroom and also our toadstool leather and they also play in the sebae that hides in the back of the tank, they do little dances sometimes to each other very entertaining)
1 scooter blenny ( (so sad we used to have 2, infact the one that died is the one that won this month's saltwater pic) the scooter is a fun fish to watch they seem to glide along the sand, and can also hover up the side of the tank if they see something they want, they are extremely fast when trying to catch something also.)
2 cleaner shrimp

2 peppermint shrimp (Iknow it's over kill in this small of a tank but we plan on taking one cleaner and one peppermint out for our 40 long we are making when it's ready)

1 large feather duster regrowing it's crown (my 2 year old's favorite)

5g long FOWLR
1 blue damsel which likes to dig, I wasn't aware that they like to do this, but in this 5 gallon we have 3 inches or more of sand it has made deep areas under the rock which it likes to hide.
1 blenny which we haven't been able to figure out what type, but it eats everything.

Reefrunner69, I feel so inadequate...lol. I have a 29gallon in my office at work. It has an eclipse 3 hood, that has been retrofitted with 65watt PC 50/50 bulb. I looked into an in the tank skimmer, and found that the visi-jet system would fit into the space to the right side of my hood. Looks sweet I think. I am using the eclipse hood for water movement only. I have two mini-jets in the tank as well for additional circulation. I am posting the pics of set-up. I will get updated pics this week of my live stock. It has only been set up for 2 months....but it looks nice. I can't wait for another couple of months, till it matures. Here is my live stock

1-Green Bali Flat Brain - Really nice looking species
1-Lg Favites(Pineapple) - sharp colors(haven't seen the sweeper tentacles yet, in my office, and I'm not there at night)
6-Different Mushrooms - normal stuff
3-Different Polyps - metallic green and yellow and some other strange colored ones(unknown species)
3-Different Buttons - well, they're buttons...need I say more
25 Red Legged Hermits - got lucky, got one staghorn hermit, 6 pumpkin or halloween crabs and 6 electric orange....these were supposed to be red legged hermits...I'm lucky
25 Margarita Snails - boring
2 Peppermint Shrimp - must have for aptasia, look neat
1 Fire Shrimp - he's a bute....and very personable
1 Six Line Wrasse - happy go lucky....no fear
1 Royal Gramma - don't see him often, only during feedings....
1 Lawn Mower Blenny - funny guy....love watching him munching.

Here are the tank set up pics.

55 gal FOWLR

5 Green Chromis
1 Bi-color Blenny
3 Emerald Crabs
2 Red crabs
~20 Blue Leg Hermits

This is a fairly new tank. Had a little trouble keeping Chromis thriving, but these are doing well. The Blenny is my fave. He adds so much personality. He is the people watcher of the group. We had some friends over to watch the Alabama game Saturday and he put on a little show swimming hole to hole and just watching all the gang

Not much in my 20 long.

1 Royal Gramma
1 4stripped Damsel
Lots of Stomatella Varia
1 Turbo Snail
Chocolate Chip Starfish
Blue Leg hermit

steve-s -- Thanks. It appears I have a Parapercis Schauinslandii or Redspotted Sandperch (one of several 'common' names).

Great link I couldn't find any good info on this little guy.
