Skimmers

Am ordering a skimmer in next few days and know I am getting the CPR bakpak 2 skimmer. My question is, should i get the normal bak pak 2 or the reef ready one? Is only difference the bio-bales? Or is there another reason i would want the reef version?

The bio bale is the only difference really. If you are setting up an FO tank, the bale may be a good idea. If a reef or FOWLR tank the bale is not really needed. Personally I have the PakPak with the bale and have had great success with it. I find the bale also helps alot with eliminating fine bubbles in the tank.
