I am almost finished cycle my 30gal long tank. i have 50 pounds of LR. i am interested in getting 2 clown fish for my tank as the first fish i put in. is it alright to add the 2 at the same time? the manager at my LFS said he will order me in two clowns that get along and i plan on confirming this at the LFS before i pick them up. but as long as the get along putting the two in first shouldnt hurt anything or cause to big of an ammonia spike should it?

As long as your tank is properly cycled I dont think it should cause a problem. Especially if the clowns are added together it shouldn't be a big deal, although I know if they're not a true pair, they may fight until one becomes female. I have two in my 55 gal, and so far so good ;)
