Water for aquaium???

So I was wondering if it's okay to use distilled water or purified water and then adding the salt. Any thoughts on these two? I know the purified water has been run through RO, am I better off using that? Its for a fish only aquarium. I'd appreciate any info, thanks.

Distilled is the next best thing to RODI, but i would always recomend rodi water first
