Hi, am new to all this fish business, have a 25ltr tank from a friend and would like some advice about what tropical fish I should start with. Tank and water is ready to go. Amy advice?

I think that's about 6-7 gallons right? I would do a shrimp tank, or betta or killifish tank. Always remember to cycle the tank first oh and welcome to AA! Hope you like the site so far!

I was told male guppys would be a nice starter fish?

Yes you could do 2-3 in there.

How long would I need to leave it before changing the %of water and when to add new fish?

Really what you need to do is get yourself a API test kit. Then when your levels read ammonia: 0 nitrite:0 nitrate:5-20 then your cycled. Each week change 20-30% of the water.
