Hello I’m a new member living in Singapore. I’ve previously kept freshwater for many years. I’m now interested in keeping a reef saltwater tank and set one up. I’ll let it run for a few weeks before introducing coral & fish.

I’d appreciate some advice on the number of fish I can keep in a 90x45x45cm tank. At the moment I’m looking at a yellow tang, powder blue, 2 ocellaris clowns, an orchid dottyback, watchman goby + shrimp combo. Is that too many for my size tank?

Appreciate the feedback.

To many fish and to small for the tangs. If I calculated right it’s about a 3 foot x 1.5 x 1.5 foot tank which is about 40-50 gallons. If you take the tangs out the stocking is about right

Thanks for your reply. I suspected those two Tangs were a no go. It's better I stock less than more given I'm a newbie in this hobby. Thanks very much!
