Hey all!

I recently made my own air bar thing from a juice pouch straw by poking many small holes in the sides and sealing one end with silicone seal. I attach the other end to my tubing and attach it to my air pump and it works very well. The only thing I don't like is that the air pump is VERY loud. I don't think it's vibrations, because if I put my finger over the end of the tubing it's almost completely silent. It's loud when I have it attached and working. I have 2 other air pumps, some 1990's models I think. I got from some friends who had a setup a long time ago. One of those two is much quieter than my new one, but it's not as powerful. The bubble output is noticeably less with it. So what would be a good, quiet, and powerful air pump for my 5 gallon tank? If anyone has a suggestion for a air bar that would work better than my homemade one please make a post on that too.

Thanks!

That's seems to be what most sites are saying. I think that's what I'll go with.

Thanks!
