Hagen offer no warranty?

Hi,

I receive my Fluval Evo 13.5 tank and the front glass is scratched, but deep, but visible when light on.

Retailer can replace it of course, but I need to pay something like a half price of tank or more to ship them back...

I contacted Hagen, there are in my city. But they told me that they cannot do anything bc they didn't sell it to me online. And I must contact the retailler.

So Hagen's 2 years limited warranty is valid only when you buy something directly from them.

Any advices?

They reply me:

You did not buy this tank from us. You purchased this from an on line retailer. They would get a tank in and then ship is out so there is more chances that there would be damage to this. We only sell to pet stores. The warranty does not cover scratches

I'm very upset with Hagen.
