octopus silencer

my new octopus nw 150 is pretty loud does anyone have and ideas that would work better then the silencer that came with it?

Get a small container, something maybe twice the size of a 35mm film container. A larger prescription bottle would work. Drill 2 holes in the top. Stick a 2" piece of airline in 1 hole and the airline from the skimmer in the other hole. This is basically the same as the silencer that comes with them, but it's better because it won't restrict the air intake.
