What are you looking for and what do you want to keep? I'm assuming this is a 4ft tank?

the tank is 48 X 24 X 24 looking to keep LPS corals maybe SPS in the future

You'll definitely be able to keep SPS with that no problem, LPS you won't even have to think about placement (besides being in too strong light, I was getting at the fact that no matter where you put the LPS in the tank they could thrive with that light).

Still looking at 8-bulb?

Tek would be a good buy, though they don't come with bulbs so you would have to tack that on to the price of the fixture, but then you could start yourself off with great bulbs like Geissman, ATI, or KZ

Also a great buy, you'll need to be more cautious of putting SPS lower though, it's not as strong
