power head problems

don't know the brand but one of my power heads makes a lot of noise when running . can i out something on the rubber ends to make this stop

make sure the impeller is seated properly and the shaft is not bent.

i checked that, can i grease the tips with something?

I wouldn't put that in my tank. Is this FW or SW? You can take it apart and soak it in a 50/50 of white vinegar/water. That might clean off what is causing the noise.

I agree with scott. I wouldn't grease it.
