I have a surface skimmer attached to my intake of my external filter, the other day it just stopped skimming, I've had the whole thing to pieces and cleaned it all about but it still isn't working, any ideas guys?

After a lot of searching I found this if any of you guys were having the same issue
"If u take it apart and look at the insides u will see that it is only possible to suck water when the skimmer is to the left of the return line, there is a plastic piece that sticks down into the inside blocking the skimmer hole if its in the right side of the tube"
