wave maker or not to wave maker

i have a 40 gallon marine reef tank. i bought a wave maker i did a little research but it wasn't helpful. anybody have one tips good or bad nething??

hydro wave maker it was like 69.99 bucks it got good reviews on line

I have not used it but have heard good things. It controls the koralias right?

It's worth it. I recently bought a Sicce Wave Surfer and it's good. Definitely made me a believer in controlling flow. Another one I would look into is a Tunze 7092 controller. I went with sicce because I already had 2 sicce powerheads and love them despite their somewhat ugly looks.
As far as Hydor, I am a little disappointed with their powerheads having used 2 of them personally. But their wavemaker may be good.

By the way sicce and hydor wavemakers will control pretty much any pump. I sometimes run a JbJ oceanstream 1600 on my sicce wavemaker. So you do not have to have matching powerheads with a wavemaker. Not sure about Tunze. It may be Tunze specific.
