Whew!! Finally done. Switched out the white gravel to black sand. Let me know what you think!!

Thanks!! Yea, I like it A LOT better...my male maingano has decided to pile it all up on one of the rocks already :/

Lol u can always rely on cichlids to rearrange the decor.. Before I removed the gravel my large male venustus would build massive piles of gravel completely covering large rocks..

Close to 30cm/12inch including his fins.. I bought him from my LFS about 6months ago he was only about 20cm in length at the time, I would like to buy 4 females to put in with him so I can maybe get some fry out of him.. I made the mistake of buying only one female which he killed unfortunately..

This is him in the previous tank before I moved them recently to another tank while I revamp the the main tank and get rid of the terrible blue pebbles..

He is very nice and healthy! Wait til he gets bigger he will bully everyone in the tank lol if he doesn't already.. :)
