Hi, it seems this thread is long past. However, if anyone new may see this, I wanted to share some tips with you on how I've kept 3 my african dwarf frogs happy and healthy long term! First of all, I keep them with no other fish, in a 5 gallon planted tank. I do have 1 nerite snail in there to help clean up plant debris and such. I noticed several of you struggling to feed these guys, and for good reason. Like many mentioned, they are basically blind, so they require target feeding. Please DONT feed them pellets or fish food. They appreciate live food! I've been feeding them (and having significant luck) with blackworms. You can buy them by the teaspoon at your LFS, and I pick up 1 or 2 with tweezers and place it as close to the frog as possible. They can smell it if it's close enough, and will start biting randomly towards the ground. Once the frog is close enough, it should be able to get the worm. This has worked well for me and my frogs are all well fed by the end of the day! As far as other tips go, they definitely are social creatures. I keep 3-4 together at all times. They are also extremely passive, which is why they get along great with my snail. The worst they've ever done is bump into him! So although these little guys may be labeled as "beginners" they certainly require patience and a little extra TLC. If you stick with a consistent feeding regiment, give them adequate daylight and night time, they should be happy 
Also one last thing, they absolutely need warmer water, so a good heater is a must! And don't freak out if you notice some of them floating up at the top every once in a while. They do that when they are tired, and want to conserve energy instead of having to swim up to the surface for air constantly. However, if they do this more than they are at the bottom, then I'd be concerned. Hope this was some help, if anyone sees it that is Best of luck with your frog pals!
