I think that looks fantastic, but be aware you may be advised on not having your tangs in that sized tank, I got my wrists slapped on here for it, took my regal back to my LFS and looking at upgrading when I move! But none the less I personally think it looks great!

Thanks!! Its been a work in progress. I also understand about the tangs. They both should be in at least a 125 Gallon aquarium. But none the less, they both seem to be doing fine. There both fat, happy tangs from what i see. Lol

Good luck on the upgrade!

Cool, as long as they don't start looking stressed that's when I got worried with my regal and let him go! But they are stunning fish!

Can't wait to see more pics!

Heres some quick pics, of my corals! The lights just turned on, so some of them are not fully out yet.
And of course some pics of the tank it's self, along with the lights.

Is that the marineland reef capable? I went through 3 of those. 2 with a few lights that didn't work or blinked, and one where the plug goes into the lights melted the lights. But I was told that those LED's have their limitations. They have a nice shimmer though, but don't penetrate too deep.

Yes they are. And i understand what your talking about. Were i work we had many come back, were a row of three led's had went out. Or the area around the plug melted. Many that didnt run a glass top, had plug problems. What i understand, when the salt evaporates over time there is a build up of salt creep. This can eventually work its way around the plug, causing the unit to cross over. And then in no time theres a melted end. I am glade to say i had both my fixtures a 48" and 36" reef led lights for about 7 months, without a problem. And the lights lums, par, and lux is enough to support coral growth to a point. When I say point, there made to be on a tank 24" deep, anything deeper may require more then one fixture to support hard coral growth at the bottom etc... Like a 90, 110, or 150, being taller may require more then one fixture to produce the amount of lux, par, lums that a clam requires. But were in a, lets say 55, 75, 125 the tanks are only 22" or so, allowing enough par, lux, lum to support hard coral growth. I could be a bit wrong, but this is what i know my clam i had did grate. It was like a clam in a cloud. Under these lights it looked better, healthier, and alot happier. Ive never seen it near as big, and spread out. It looked like a true happy clam. That was intel my stupid gold head sleeper goby killed him. I was gone hunting and my clam was covered in about two inches of sand. Behind him was the gold heads goby new cave. So that whole week i was on a mission to get him. I am not planning on getting another sand goby, to were my rainford bali goby does a good job. Now i am just waiting for my lfs to get in a clam i like.

Well I'm glad it's working out for you. I ran mine with a close top, and switched to t5's. And now looking for some affordable metal halides for my 60 reef. But I'm sorry to hear about your clam. You never could have predicted that.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking to. :( I was just glad it happend now, instead of down the road. I would like to get a better clam, after this cal spell. Well that's what I'll call it. About a month or so after my clam died my calc, alk went out of controll. My mag, ph, etc... Is all good. Everything but calc, and alk. For the last month or so my tank has gone through the calc, and alk like crazy. I figured sence my tank is growing alot of purple that could be a factor. Along with some of my sps coral, and plate coral. The plate coral is growing another outer ring. Plus my frogspawn, is growing a total of ten new heads!! :) With this problem, calc and alk I've been looking into useing kalkwasser. With this product I want to take it real slow, to see how my corals act, and add as I go. I've been thinking about a drip line, of one teaspoon per five gallons to start, and dose higher as needed. After I see how it affects my tank in a week. Any thoughts or ideas of doseing kalk, it would be very much helpful.
