Aquarium Advice Regular
Hi everyone!
So my angels spawned for the first time last night! It was so cool. I actually got to watch her lay the eggs, and him fertilize them (I'm assuming that's what he was doing while hovering over them!)
However, I am completely unprepared for this. I've never had fish spawn before. I don't have another tank set up to put them in, so the angels had to guard them all night... but the rainbows, congos, and other fishies won the battle. No eggs survived.
So what should I do next time? When my brother-in-law moves out, I'm going to set up my old 18 gallon tank. I was going to use it as a quartine tank, as needed. But now I don't know. Should I put the angels in there by themselves to spawn? Or should I leave them in the big tank and take the eggs out? Or what? I just don't know what I should do next time, and I think it would be really cool to have them breed!
Any input would be great thanks!
