Bristlenose catfish breeding

I have a longfin male and a orange spot female, they have laid eggs once and the male was fanning and guarding them. I noticed a group of 7-8 eggs outside the cave and put them into a mesh fry cage on the side of the tank, a few days later one of them hatched and I saw him swimming around. But the next few days after that I saw the clutch of eggs inside the cave getting smaller, then 3 days later there is only about 15 eggs left, so I took then out and put them in the fry net. the only other fish in the net were 6 day old swordtails, and then all of the eggs, baby with yolk sack and 4 of the swordtails vanished! I searched the tank for babies, the cories left the cave alone and the 6 adult swordtail are scared of the male, it is questioning continuesly and I am clueless as to where they have all gone? Any ideas???
