Can pearl and blood red dwarf gouramis interbreed?

My lfs had all male blood red gouramis so I bought two hoping to add a couple females later. Now they have what look to me like mostly female pearl gouramis. Will they breed together? I could give my ten G to a pair of them for a breeding tank, it has lots of floating plants and low current.

I don't believe they will interbreed but it might be good experiment to see if they will

Mmmmm, not sure I want to chance it, I really want to see some breeding action in my tank, thoses bubble nests sound cool.
