How can I have an idea when platy will have fry?

I'm preparing a tank that I wanted to use for a pregnant play and fry but I don't thing I will be have it finished at time. So I want to know if there any signals about when to know when fry will be coming in order to buy something to have them while I finish the tank. Here are some pics

good job, this is the start on a long path of breeding, the hardest part of breeding platys catching them, how many you get?

I got like around 30, I was surprised I was expecting less. I'm preparing a tank for them but for now I have them on the breeders box. What it shocked me was that the mother jumped(only explanation I have) from the box to the rest of the community.
