Hi folks,

One of my platies had babys yesterday and i was not aware that I actually had a female .. until I sexed them today! I didn't notice much different in them to when I got them.

Anyway .. I have managed to keep some fry I got a fry breeding box etc. Hard to catch the little buggers!!

I am attaching some photos to see if anybody knows if she is going to have any more fry. She still has a dark spot ..... Can anyone help me out please?

She is in the breeding box too .. there is a V seperator in the box between her and the fry. For tonight anyway. Just in case!

Here's hoping for any help.

ciao
Brian

OK thanks for your message. Should I leave her in the breeding box all that time or let her into the main tank? The space she has in the breeding box is not a huge amount.

I would doubt if she has any significant amount of fry left, if any. Removing her will certainly help her and the loss of any additional fry to tankmates would be minimal. Livebearer's just love to store sperm and have several spawns afterward.
