I only have a 10 gallon tank, and I cannot afford to have a ton of fish right now. I would love to have my fish breed eventually when I have larger tanks, but for now I would like to know is there a way to not have the fish breed? Obviously you can't force nature, but I don't know what I would do if my fish bred and my tank became overcrowded. I plan on getting 5 cherry barbs and 4 Scarlet Badis, but I don't know if there is a way I can get more males than females and not have trouble, or have all females and not have trouble. Thanks :)

I don't think you'll have a problem with those fish breeding. They are egg layers and require certain conditions to breed and the fry require special foods and such to survive.
