I've had a male and female red wag swordtail couple for over a month now and I feel like I may have a dud couple. The male seeks out the female but she is not receptive. Could it be my water conditions? Temperature is 78 F, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, very low nitrate, but my pH is around 8. Not sure if that's a bad pH level or not or if I just got a bad couple. I'd appreciate any advice.
