Somewhat cycling withblack phantom tetras?

The safe start says reduces ammo and tribes so I'm nit gonna use it.. But I'll do another wc... 40% and is now too soon after the other?

Nope you can do as many changes as you want as much as you want since you don't have fish yet. Be sure to dechlorinate. After you get fish, you can do 50% changes at a time if you want.

Ok I tested it again and it was a little less red but definitely at least 40.. And my dad put the safe start in because he was mad at me for not taking their advice, so I guess we'll Soo joe it works..

I got 5 zebra danios. Next weekend if my water is alrigh I'll gbr my phantom tetras. Now, I wasn't planning on keepin the zebras, but they are so active, I kinda like it! Would it be overstocked at

A bit. And I think you regret using the safe start. Basically it's lab made bacteria that tends to work for a bit then they all die. Then you have to cycle again...

That's how my dad is to whenever the lfs recommends us something and I don't agree. Don't worry lol.

Mine acts like he knows everything about fish,when really if this was his tank, all my livestock would be dead by now lol. Don't worry, just typical dads that have to always be right.

I'm not sure, you might want to drop one of the schools. Prob shouldn't have 4 schools in your tank. I'd up the number in two schools and up your number of Cory's by 2.

I guess you technically had 4 schooling fish in your stock list, lol so now you'd have 3. That's what I'd do, and I think the rest of your stock will be fine

Thanks. Of I did 5 zebras 5 black phantoms and 6 rumys, would it work instead of 8 rumys and 6 of the other? The reason I want both is I already have the zebras and I don't really want to return them, as I like them alot more than I planned I would!

Would consider 1 angel and one Ram or two rams but not all. They are larger fish. If it is a nice docile Angel fine, but often they can get down right nasty.

If you are finding the parameters are stressed, get more plants and or another HOB filter for extra filtration. Also if you piggyback the filter pad, you up your BB double!!! I would double the pad first, and then watch your numbers over time.

The angel and Rams tend to use the same space for breeding, so I don't know if the angel would bother the Rams babies situation.

Since you already have good BB going on your filter now I doubt adding the quick start/safe start whatever it was should be a problem.

Thanks. I've been assured by many people that the rams and anglefish will be ok, so I think I will try! And do you think I could fit all the suggested in?
